Coronation Street fans have been left wondering over the identity of Lauren Bolton's mysterious new boyfriend.
Lauren was gifted some pretty expensive presents recently, but she's also been dashing home to cater to someone's needs, and making adult content online. Since her split from Max, she's been trying to be a better person – but has now quit her cafe job and seems to be locking herself away.
Actress Cait Fitton first joined the cobbles last year as part of the racism storyline, dealing with Griff and his band of thugs. Max Turner was fully taken in by their vile, far-right rhetoric.

Some fans love Lauren so much they've called her the next Kelly Neelan, after Millie Gibson quit the soap for a new job in BBC sci-fi hit Doctor Who last year. What about Cait’s life away from the cobbles, though? From glam snaps to a singing career, she’s done it all…
Rival soap fame
Before appearing in Coronation Street, Cait made a name for herself in rival BBC soap Doctors. She starred as Jessie Mortimer for one episode in 2020 – and also rose to fame on CBeebies as part of the show Gigglebiz.
Cait starred in five episodes of the 2013 show, as well as making an appearance as a singer on the Johnny and Inel Show. But since she was five years old, she always wanted to be in Corrie.
She told The Sun: "The teacher asked us, ‘What do you want to be when you’re older?’ Children were saying ‘a fireman’ or ‘a nurse’, and I said, ‘I want to be in Coronation Street’.
“I remember all the teachers were amused, they couldn’t believe it… Sometimes I’d despair and think it was never going to happen, but it just shows that if you fight and you work hard for your dreams, you can achieve.”
Singing career
Along with acting, Cait is a keen singer – and shared an incredible video to her Instagram grid showcasing her talent. Stunning in an off-the-shoulder blue top covered in sequins, Cait looked nothing like her character Lauren as she tucked her blonde curls into a high ponytail and crooned into the microphone.
Cait belted out the lyrics to Ben E. King’s Stand By Me, explaining to fans: “I feel beyond privileged to say my professional showreel has been filmed by @olibogroup and I am mega excited to share it with you guys!
“What an experience! Exciting times are coming,” she promised back in February 2022 – something that certainly proved to be true.
Co-star bond
Since joining the ITV soap, Cait has formed a special bond with her co-star Paddy Bever, who plays Max. She took to Twitter to support him being nominated for the Best Newcomer award in the I Talk Telly Awards, gushing: “He’s only gone and done it again @PaddyBever!
“What a star he is, the fact I get to share the screen with you blows my mind. Start voting!”
Paddy, of course, repaid the favour by commenting praise on Cait’s Instagram snaps as he gushed over her first appearance in Corrie.
Tragic loss
In celebrating her new role, Cait admitted that some members of her family are “no longer with her” in a lengthy post. She shared a series of snaps outside the Rovers Return, looking grateful as she enjoyed her time on the cobbles.
The young actress explained: “The news is out!!! A pinch me moment. I am super excited and proud to announce that I will be joining the cast of CORONATION STREET.
“Being a Born and Bred Mancunian who’s grown up watching the show, I can’t quite put into words how much this means to me! Never in a million years did I think this would be something I’d ever get to achieve and accomplish so young ( or even ever !!!) but here I am living the dream.”

She added: “My younger self is screaming right now!!! I want to say a big thank you to all the cast and crew at @coronationstreet for inviting me in with open arms and making me feel so welcome! Thank you to my amazing agent Brooke Kinsella at @intertalentactors for constantly supporting me and always pushing me to achieve.
“Also a massive thank you to my family and friends who have supported me throughout this process and been with me along the journey so far!
“I dedicate this role of achievement to my family who were huge fans of the show but unfortunately are no longer with me, but I know if they were, they’d be bursting at the seams!”
