Nick Knowles has ‘boasted of randy fans sending him X-rated items in the mail.’
The I’m A Celebrity star, who really got pulses racing in his tight, red, budgie smugglers just a couple of days ago, has allegedly revealed he has some very keen fans, who send him their knickers, naked pictures and love letters in the mail.
But he also thinks he has quite the gay following, but over his celebrity life he has had some concerns with "five or six quite worrying stalkers."
The DIY SOS host revealed to the Daily Star : "There are four beautiful female students in Cardiff who are inviting me to spend the night with them in their flat, all at the same time, and after seeing the photo I was half-tempted."
But he didn’t seem shy in admitting how his presenting may have gained such attention, it seems, as he said he expected any "decent-looking male presenter" to get the same treatment.
He continued: "About 70 per cent of my fan mail is from women. I don’t think there’s a decent-looking male presenter in the country who doesn’t get that. You get all kinds – knickers, naked photographs, invitations.
"I think I have a reasonable gay following. The fact that I used to have big hair probably has something to do with that.
"I get letters from women telling me how much in love with me they are, but they don’t even know me.
However, sadly for Nick, he has also had to deal with the darker side of this level of popularity, admitting he has had some "worrying stalkers" in his time in the spotlight.
He added: "I’ve had five or six quite worrying stalkers, which you have to let the police know about.
"Fortunately I’ve never been in a situation where I’ve felt in danger. But you get followed around.
"One guy turned up while I was doing a live programme and was stood behind the camera. I believe he was being helped psychologically and went back to some psychological help afterwards, and hopefully he’s doing a lot better."
According to Nick, that sex appeal may have come from his being a "big lump of a guy," whose DIY work on telly means he looks "well-built" and masculine.
Nick did ruffle some feathers in yesterday’s episode, however, when he argued with Anne Hegerty about his belief that the moon landing didn’t happen – with viewers very much taking Anne’s side when she tore his argument apart.
MirrorOnline has contacted reps for Nick Knowles for comment.
