House of the Dragon star claims cast were filming X-rated scenes for 12 hours

House of Dragon star Millie Alcock has spoken out about the “gnarly” moment show extras were forced to “69 for 12 hours” during a sex scene on the latest episode of the series.

The 22-year-old beauty, who plays Rhaenyra Targaryen on HBO’s Game of Thrones spin-off, described how the dedicated actors had to lie in a very intimate position with a total stranger while discussing the now-infamous kiss between her and on-screen uncle Daemon.

"There were extras who we had just met who were like, 69-ing for 12 hours," she said.

She went on to tell the New York Post: "It's pretty gnarly, we felt pretty overdressed because everyone else was nude."

The fourth episode shows her around the Westeros capital of King's Landing in disguise as she’s taken to a brothel by Daemon and the pair being to kiss.

Daemon, played by actor Matt Smith, then runs off, leaving Rhaenyra to fend for herself before things go any further.

Milly revealed she laid eyes on the shocking scene for the first time during filming after being taken to the location by director Clare Kilner, who “made sure that we hadn't seen any of the brothel stuff” before the shoot.

She said: "That was our first time walking through the brothel, and he's guiding her through the room with all of these other bodies.

"So, that was quite shocking. You're like, 'This is kind of weird and silly'."

Reflecting on what it was like to film this scene, Milly said: "I think Matt is an incredible actor and he's also so kind and funny, so I felt very comfortable with him in all of those scenes.

were just kind of mates. So, it was quite comfortable.

“We had an intimacy coordinator, and we worked with her through the rehearsal process and blocked it out months before.”

While viewers may balk at the incestuous relationship shown onscreen, in George R. R. Martin's books the Targaryen family would famously marry their relatives.

Historically, Aegon the Conqueror wed his sisters Visenya and Rhaenys, and in Game of Thrones, brother and sister Cersei and Jaime Lannister and Daenerys and Viserys Targaryen all shacked up together.
