HOLLYOAKS heartthrob David Tag has treated fans to a saucy snap of himself cradling his newborn son in his underwear.

The soap star left little to the imagination as he posed in a pair of extra-tight Calvin Klein budgie smugglers.

The 36-year-old, who stars as the hunky Sylver McQueen on the channel 4 soap, took to Instagram to post the revealing snap.

David captioned the post with a tongue in cheek caption: "I’m a dad now; I’m allowed to wear budgie smugglers".

Tag can be seen kissing his 3-month-old son, Reuben, as he poses in a tight pair of underwear that clings to the star's trim figure.

Fan's went into overdrive after seeing the star's Insta post, with one commenting: "As long as you post the pics absolutely 🔥😂"

Another added "No one is looking at the baby 😂" in unison.

A third wrote: "Nah you're not allowed! Take them off 😂😍".

The Hollyoaks stars character recently took a short hiatus from the show, leaving for Alicante last month alongside Mercedes.

Channel 4 bosses have already confirmed that this is not the last we'll see of Tag's character, hinting that he will be making a return soon.

Sylver and Bobby, writing in a tweet in September: "Mercedes, Sylver and Bobby may have gone to Alicante, but they'll be back soon! Are you glad that they were all able to put the past behind them?"

But now we know that the McQueens are not far away as David Tag (who plays Sylver) has shared an update with his Instagram followers.

On Thursday (October 14) he took to Instagram to post a snap of himself in a car with Jakob Chialton, who plays Bobby, looking over his shoulder from the back seat.

"In case anyone is wondering. Sylver is still on his jolly’s with this lad! We’ll be back real soon," wrote the actor.

Back in June, Tag announced the arrival of his first son with girlfriend Abi Harrison.

He told his followers: "Welcome to the big wide world baby boy 💙💙."

Speaking to OK! Magazine, he added: “Myself and Abi are both thrilled to share the safe arrival of our beautiful baby boy, born on Wednesday 9th June at 12:14pm.

“Both Abi and our little man are doing great and we can’t wait for you all to meet him!”
