But just a few months later and it was all over for the pair after The Sun Online broke the news they had split.
When did the couple get together?
The couple got together in May 2018 when Dani picked Jack to couple up with on the first day of Love Island.
They stuck together throughout the show and were crowned winners in July 2018.
The couple moved in together soon after returning to the UK.
Soon after they moved in together Dani discussed their home life in an interview with OK! Magazine.
She said: "Jack and I are only human and we're not going to always agree on everything.
"But we love each other very much and always respect and support each other through everything."
What was the engagement prank?
On October 2, 2018 Dani claimed to be engaged to Jack.
The Love Island champion shared a picture on Instagram of a ring on her engagement finger.
She wrote next to it "I said yes".
While fans were ecstatic at the news it was quickly confirmed by the pair it was a prank orchestrated by Roman Kemp on Capital FM.
Host Roman forced her to post an image of a ring – leaving fans gobsmacked before they realised it was wind up.
Why did Dani and Jack break up?
Dani and Jack announced they had called time on their relationship in December 2018.
The couple, who have earned hundreds of thousands of pounds since leaving Love Island, cited their demanding schedules as a reason for the split.
Posting on Instagram Dani wrote: "Jack and I have sadly decided to part ways. It's been an incredible six months and we will always have a place in our hearts for each other, but we've sadly come to the realisation that it is not meant to be long term.
"We both plan to stay friends. I hope you'll all understand. Love Dani x."
Prior to their split, it appeared that an engagement was on the cards for the couple.
Speaking to The Sun Jack said: “We’re getting married next year, 100 per cent. Like my mum said to me so many times, ‘When you know about someone, you just know’.“And now I know what she’s talking about. I just know that’s what we want to do.”
Dani added: “It ain’t about planning when we’re gonna have kids.
“It’s about enjoying a bit of time outside the villa now. And when we’re both ready, we will talk about it. Right now I’m just happy to be with him.”
