GMB’s Susanna Reid says Matt Hancock ‘is not a celebrity’ in I’m A Celeb clash
2nd November 2022

Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid says Matt Hancock shouldn’t join I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! because “he’s not a celebrity” in fierce on air clash.

During Wednesday’s instalment of the hugely popular breakfast show, the 51-year-old broadcaster welcomed viewers back alongside former MP Ed Balls.

One of the biggest stories on everyone’s lips this morning was the former Health Secretary’s decision to join the star-studded line-up, as he faces a wave of backlash online.

As the politician landed in Australia yesterday, the presenting duo welcomed former campmate Lembit Öpik and broadcaster Dominique Taegon onto the show to share their thoughts on his controversial ITV show stint.

Dominique started the discussion by sharing her strong thoughts against Matt joining the show and should be "deselected to be an MP".

She argued: "In my opinion, not only should Matt Hancock have lost the whip – I think that's completely right – I think Matt Hancock should be deselected.

"I don't think he's fit to be an MP, I think it's clear now that he's more interested in pursuing things that make him look better than he is in pursuing a career in politics.

It was at this point that the mum-of-three shared her thoughts surrounding the disgraced politician entering the jungle.

And it appears as though Susanna has firmly made up her mind about the MP, as she hit out at him on the morning show.

She pointed out: “That's a good point Lembit, the programme’s called I’m A Celebrity – he's not a celebrity, he’s an MP!”
