Who is Natasha Lyonne?

The famous star is an American actress known for the relatable characters she has taken on.

Natasha, 43, was born in New York City on April 4, 1979.

She is the daughter of an Orthodox Jewish family, with her mother's Hungarian Jewish parents being Holocaust survivors.

The actress grew up in NYC until she was 8, then moved to Israel for a year and a half.

It was there that her career as an actress began when she participated in the kids' movie April Fool.

Following her parents' divorce, Natasha moved back to NYC with her mother and attended a private Jewish school.

Naughty by nature, the star eventually got expelled for selling Marijuana at school.

The actress had explained that she isn't close to her mum and has essentially lived independently since she was 16 years old.

Natasha started a film program at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts but had to leave when she couldn't afford the tuition fees.

Who does she play in Orange is the New Black?

The beauty plays Nicky Nichols in Netflix hit series, Orange is the New Black.

OITNB was her first-ever television gig as a regular and has played the part since 2016.

Natasha received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination in 2014 and two SAG Award nominations.

Her character Nicky is a drug addict stuck in a women's prison, beloved for her wit and loyalty.

Despite her hard and sarcastic exterior, she has a soft and vulnerable side often seen when she's around Red or Lorna.

Following a few small roles, Natasha was cast in Woody Allen's Everyone Says I Love You (1996) at the young age of 16.

This kickstarted her movie career and led to roles in Slums of Beverly Hills (1998), Krippendorf's Tribe (1998) and Modern Vampires (1998).

She was cast in the cult movie, American Pie, as Jessica in 1999 – which won her a Young Hollywood Award in 2000.

The following years saw her play Christine in Detroit Rock City (1999), Megan in But I'm a Cheerleader (1999), Kaye in Plan B (2001) and Tamara Jenson in Fast Sofa (2001).

She returned to fan-favorite movies Scary Movie 2 and American Pie 2 with her beloved parts.

Most recently, however, she's received praise for her parts in series like Portlandia, Ballmastrz 9009, Orange is the New Black and Big Mouth.

She is also featured in the Netflix show, Russian Doll.

Is Natasha Lyonne married?

Natasha has never been married, however, she was in an eight-year relationship with SNL alum, Fred Armisen, 55.

The pair confirmed their relationship with Us Weekly back in 2014 after they attended several pre-Emmy Awards events together.

Rumors began floating around about a split between Natasha and Fred in September of 2021 when the actress stepped out with a mystery man in Malibu.

Natasha confirmed rumors of the split on April 15, 2022, with The Hollywood Reporter.

Armisen was previously married to Sally Timms between 1998 and 2004 and later married to Elisabeth Moss, between 2009 to 2011.
