21st May 2022

BBC Breakfast's Charlie Stayt asked producers to re-start the show today after he bungled Naga Munchetty's name twice.

The 59-year-old news presenter managed to mangle his co-host's name before letting out a big sigh.

He said: "Good morning welcome to Breakfast with Naga, Maga… ah, boy."

With that he sighed, looking torwards the ground as she helpfully chipped in: "Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt."

He then raised his palm and looking beyond the camera, saying: "Can we just start the whole thing again?

"We go right back to the beginning again, all right?"

The shot then went to Matt Taylor standing in Gatton Park, Surrey, for a weather update.

Naga couldn't help but add a cheeky comment, saying: "Well if Matt stepped out of the camera shot then…”
