EastEnders favourite Rita Simons left plenty of fans with their jaws on the floor after she unveiled her major new "short short" hair.
The 46-year-old shot to fame playing the iconic Roxy Mitchell on the show from 2007 until 2017 – when she was killed off in one of the long-running soap’s most controversial episodes.
Since then, Rita has kept her loyal legion of fans updated on life after Albert Square – with the soap star bagging appearances on several shows.

The blonde beauty even made a shock return to EastEnders last month in an epic twist – much to the delight of her fans.
And on Friday (May 12) she had plenty of them gushing yet again when she showed off her new “short short” hair on Instagram.
Taking to her social media, Rita looked gorgeous rocking a new bobbed hairstyle, with her signature blonde locks falling just past her jawline.
Oozing beauty, the soap star opted for subtle make-up, including a swipe of berry colour lipstick and dark brows.
To complete her look, Rita slipped into a blue denim jacket over a black top as she posed up a storm for the camera.
She captioned the gorgeous post: "We’ve gone short short! Thanks, gorgeous @hadleyyatessalon @georginahamiltonhopkinshair as always the BEST."
As expected, plenty of fans soon went wild over Rita’s new hairstyle and flooded the comments section with compliments.
“Love the hair, looks amazing,” proclaimed one follower, as another person added: “You look stunning!”
“Wow looking great,” penned a third smitten fan, with someone else quipping: “Beautiful as always! Short suits you.”
Echoing their thoughts, a fifth fan said: "Really suits you Rita."
Just last month, Rita reprised her role as Roxy Mitchell in EastEnders despite the character being killed off in January 2017.
The 46-year-old first set foot in Albert Square as blonde bombshell Roxy, back in 2007 – alongside her sister and bestie Ronnie.
But the nation was left devastated when show bosses axed the two sisters and killed them off in a tragic ending that aired in 2017.
Fast forward six years later and in a surprise twist, Roxy made an epic comeback on the BBC soap during an episode that aired at the end of April.
Rumours have been swirling that Roxy could be making a return from the dead after Rita dropped a hint that the door was open, adding that fans never saw her body.
