Danielle Harold addresses I’m a Celeb rumours on Loose Women

EastEnders’ Danielle Harold joined the Loose Women panel today where she addressed the possibility of going into the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! jungle.

Danielle explained: “Everyone keeps asking, but I am so excited for what’s next because it has been half of my life that I have been there [EastEnders] now.

“So to be able to audition now which I have started too and get into different characters I am just loving it and it is so much fun, it is really great fun.”

Wanting to know herself, Ruth Langsford asked: “There are rumours, they are bounding this time of year of who is going into the jungle and your name has popped up.”

Laughing, Danielle admitted: “It is like all year round there is something, one minute I am in Strictly, then I am in that.

“I’ll probably be on Dancing on Ice next week! Calm down! There is always something, whatever the latest show is they always say your name.”

Getting clarification, Ruth said: “So your not going in the jungle,” to which Danielle shook her head and said: “No.”

However, Coleen Nolan jumped in a quipped: “She wouldn’t be allowed to say, who do you think you are?”

Danielle expressed: “There are just rumours about me going somewhere and I love it! I sit at home and go ‘Ooh there and there!”

Danielle played Lola Pearce for 12 years and was involved in some major storylines, but her biggest was her departure story after she was diagnosed and died from a brain tumour.

The story was conceived in collaboration with Brain Tumour Research and Macmillan Cancer Support to dramatise the authentic experiences faced by those with terminal cancer.

The soap continues to honour Lola’s memory, including airing a cameo from Danielle earlier this week as part of gripping scenes with Lola’s on-screen daughter Lexi.

She won the National Television Award for Best Serial Drama Performance and said on stage:” Guys, I love you so much. Without your support, I couldn’t do this. Thank you so much.”

Loose Women airs weekdays from 12:30pm on ITV.
