I'm A Celeb Adam's HUGE hint about when Ian Beale will return to EastEnders

EASTENDERS star Adam Woodyatt has dropped a huge hint about when his soap character Ian Beale will make a return to Albert Square.

The Walford legend opened up about playing Ian Beale for 36 years and his future during the latest episode of I'm A Celebrity.

The dramatic storyline marked Adam's first ever exit from EastEnders, and last night he was probed by his I'm A Celeb co-stars on why he had seemingly left the popular role.

He told Frankie Bridge: "I just had another opportunity, there was this play that came up and I just fancied doing something different."

He then admitted the show's bosses had wanted his character to take a pause.

"The way the storyline went, they needed me to take a break and the break's just got longer."

Paralympic champion Kadeena Cox queried Adam on whether or not he'd fancy trying his hand at film acting.

"I'm available as of April," the star joked – as he revealed when his run in play Looking Good Dead will come to an end at Churchill Theatre in Bromley, south east London.

That means Adam is available to sign a new contract with EastEnders from next Spring and his comments sparked a flurry of excited tweets, as one fan raved: "If there’s no Ian, there’s no Eastenders #ImACeleb"

Another said: "I hope Adam hasn’t totally left eastenders and is just on a long break #imaceleb"

Corrie fans spot clue that Roy Cropper WILL return

CORONATION Street fans have spotted a vital clue that Roy Cropper WILL return to the ITV soap against all odds.

Viewers were left sobbing last week as actor David Nielsen appeared to walk away from the cobbles for good as he tried to escape police questioning.

Long-standing character Roy was caught up in the drama as police started looking for clues over the gun originally bought by Abi Franklin.

An eagle-eyed viewer noted that the soap bosses didn't use any special credits to say goodbye to the character as they normally would when someone left.

"Roy will be back, they didn't use the special credits," they wrote to Twitter, as a second chimed in: "Roy will be back. Part of the cobbles. Couple weeks time."

"I reckon Roy will be back for Christmas, I certainly hope it," a third wrote, as a fourth said: "Come on, writers, get him back this instant!"

What will Simon Lennon do now?

This remains to be seen, as Simon hasn’t revealed his next move.

However, we doubt he will be short of work as he has many acting credits under his belt.

Before Emmerdale he appeared alongside former Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan in BBC’s Our Girl.

He has also starred in ITV’ smash hit show Grantchester.

      Continued…

“But it’s been amazing,” he continued before talking about what it has been like to star alongside some of his colleagues.

Simon said: “On any television or film set, you spend 13-14 hours a day with the same people from the first thing in the morning until the last thing at night.

“And then you go home, go to bed and do the same thing the next day. So it is a very tight nit and it is a cliche but you do have a family on every job you’re doing.”

Why is Simon Lennon aka Ben Tucker leaving Emmerdale?

Simon’s character Ben was killed off at the end of November 25, 2021 hour-long episode of Emmerdale as Meena Jutla (played by Paige Sandhu) claimed her third victim.

She murdered him after he’d stumbled across evidence that could have incriminated her.

With regards to why Simon has left, this has not been confirmed.

It is so likely the ending of Ben’s storyline would have coincided with the end of his contract.
