EastEnders spoiler sees truth behind Ranveer Gulati’s murder exposed
13th September 2023

This article contains spoilers for Wednesday night's EastEnders, 13 September – it's not yet aired on TV but can be watched on BBC iPlayer

Tonight's EastEnders sees Denise Fox (Diane Parish) stumble upon the truth of Ranveer Gulati's (Anil Goutam) murder.

As far as the residents of Albert Square are aware, it was Kheerat Panesar (Jaz Singh Deol) who killed Ranveer, with Kheerat taking the blame believing that it was his mother Suki (Balvinder Sopal) who committed the crime.

However, unbeknown to many of those involved, Suki had set up a camera to catch Ranveer out during a business meeting but was instead attacked by the corrupt businessman.

Suki then hit Ranveer over his head causing him to fall unconscious, and believing him to be dead was helped to hide the body by Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara).

However, when it was revealed that Ranveer was not dead, Ravi bashed his head in with a clock, which was caught on camera.

Tonight's episode sees Denise and her husband Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) visit the Panesars for dinner to celebrate Ravi moving in with her daughter Chelsea (Zaraah Abrahams).

The dinner party quickly descends into a row, with Denise and Jack leaving early, although not empty-handed, with Denise stealing Ravi's laptop before their swift exit.

Taking a look at the laptop, Denise recovers the video file and sees the horrifying truth about the night of Ranveer's murder.

But she's not the only one watching the video, as it's then revealed that Ravi has been watching Denise for the doorway.

It comes after fans shared predictions that Ravi will be killed at Christmas following a flash-forward earlier this year, revealing that an as-of-yet unidentified man is killed over the festive season.

One viewer tweeted: "I have a feeling it’s Ravi at Christmas it makes sense but then again I feel like it’s too obvious I don’t know."

"I do think Ravi is the Christmas death #Eastenders @bbceastenders" added another.

While a third penned: "#eastenders cannot wait for nish or ravi to die at Christmas x"

Addressing the theories of his on-screen death, actor Aaron Thiara told Inside Soap that the drama is set to go "up a notch" when it comes to villain Ravi.

"I can't escape the fan theories," he said. "The comments have been lovely though – people say: 'No you can't be the body on the floor!' But Ravi has a lot of enemies, and plenty of characters want to see the back of him.

"What I will say is there's a lot to come in the next few months, and it goes up a notch in terms of what that might mean for Ravi in the lead-up to Christmas."
