EastEnders: Cindy Beale returns

EastEnders’ Ian Beale (played by Adam Woodyatt) returned to the BBC soap after two years but viewers fear a deadly end could be in sight after he suffered a heart attack.

Ian and Cindy (Michelle Collins) weren’t the only returning faces as fans saw the likes of Ian’s son Peter (Thomas Law) and Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) pay them a visit in their French home.

Seeing the iconic roles back on-screen, along with Ian’s health taking a hit, it wasn’t long before viewers shared their thoughts, with many thinking he could die.

During the episode, fans of the BBC series learned Cindy had been hiding in another country while under witness protection for snitching on someone called Jackie Ford in prison.

With an officer informing her that the had died, Cindy was now free to resume her old identity after living a life as “Rose”.

When questioning where they should go, Ian suggested heading back to Walford, something Cindy wasn’t pleased with as she locked herself in the bathroom arguing about wanting to stay.

However, when Ian didn’t respond she discovered his unconscious body on the floor after he suffered a heart attack.

Being rushed to the hospital, the doctor told Cindy that Ian was stable but may need to have a stent fitted.

While Ian was resting in his bed he watched a video that his son Bobby (Clay Milner Russell), who still lives in Walford, had posted on social media.

During the clip, he saw the new owners of The Queen Vic, George Knight (Colin Salmon) and his fiance Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe), and George’s two daughters.

Although horror sunk in for Ian when he recognised George and his girls from a postcard that Cindy had, which was of her ex-husband and two daughters.

As Ian soon realised Cindy’s children are living in Walford, the place he suggested moving back to, will he now have a change of heart?
