EastEnders star Diane Parish has teased ‘dark moments’ are on the way as serial killer Lucas Johnson makes a dramatic return to Albert Square.
The actress, who plays Denise Fox in the BBC soap, joined The One Show tonight where she dropped hints about upcoming storylines to presenters Jermaine Jenas and Alex Jones.
‘We’ve got some dark moments coming up and some other characters coming into her life who are just making it even worse,’ Diane told the hosts.
She added that ‘it’s all falling apart at the moment’ for her character Denise.
It was announced earlier this month that Lucas is making a comeback.
An EastEnders spokesperson confirmed the news in a statement and said: ‘Don Gilet is returning to Walford as one of E20’s most notorious bad guys, Lucas Johnson, later in the year.
‘Four years after he left The Square his comeback is set to cause shockwaves amongst the residents. Has his time inside done him any good?’
EastEnders fans will remember that Lucas claimed a number of victims during his reign of terror on the Square, including his own ex Trina who was infamously raked to death and Denise’s abusive husband Owen, who was throttled.
