EastEnders’ Davood Ghadami to become ‘millionaire property mogul’
9th May 2021

EastEnders star Davood Ghadami looks set to have a career change after leaving the soap, and will reportedly become a ‘millionaire property tycoon’.

Davood, 38, left the BBC One soap in April when his beloved character, market trader Kush Kazemi, was killed off by Albert Square’s resident serial killer Gray Atkins.

With Walford behind him, it’s now claimed that Davood will be focusing on building his property empire.

According to the Daily Star, the actor submitted plans to build 30 new homes in Harlow in 2018. However, this was delayed after Harlow Council noted the land’s ‘archaeological significance’.

Harlow, Essex is an area close to Davood’s heart as it’s where he was born and grew up.

As a result of the council’s recommendation, archaeological research had to be carried out.

Davood reportedly received good news recently as the council gave him and his mum Jayne, who is co-director of the company, the green light to build 20 homes instead of 30.

A source said: ‘This has not been an easy process, so Davood is relieved and excited to finally get it off the ground.’

Since leaving EastEnders, Davood has continued to keep one foot in the acting pool after joining the cast of Holby City. He will make his debut as new surgeon Eli Ebrahimi later this year.

Viewers were devastated to see Davood leave EastEnders, with his character Kush suffering a violent death after being pushed in front of a train by Gray.

The dramatic scenes shocked viewers and the BBC confirmed that 106 complaints were received after the episode aired.
