Dot Branning finally returns to EastEnders – with Dotty!

EastEnders is never the same without Dot Branning (June Brown) so fans of the Walford legend will be over the moon to know she is soon to return – and she won’t be alone. As previously revealed, Dotty Cotton will be with her, with the role of the demonic child turned teenager being taken on by Milly Zero.

When Dotty was last in the Square, played by Molly Conlin, she was more than a handful and was working with her evil dad Nick Cotton to try and kill her own nan! However, she eventually had a change of heart – but what kind of mischief will she get up to as she settles back to life in Walford?

Dot is warmly welcomed back to Walford by loved ones like Sonia and Bex Fowler (Natalie Cassidy and Jasmine Armfield) as well as Stuart Highway (Ricky Champ) but has she brought trouble to their door or is Dotty a reformed character?

Speaking about her role, Milly said: ‘I am honestly so excited to be playing Dotty Cotton and joining the E20 family, especially playing alongside June Brown, who I have been watching on my telly since I was a young girl.’

Show boss Jon Sen said: ‘We’re all super-excited to welcome Dotty back to the Square – sharp-witted and with an eye for human weakness, she’s not afraid to say what she thinks. We are also thrilled that Milly will be taking on the role – her versatility as an actress and ability to capture Dotty’s blend of sass, intelligence and vulnerability ensure that Dotty will return with a bang this autumn.’

Dotty will make her first reappearance after 10 years on Thursday 3rd October, which is also when we will see Dot again. The events will coincide with a major storyline for Bex in the same week, which promises to be an unmissable set of dramatic episodes for fans.
