Dexter: Crime drama follows twisted blood splatter expert
Showtime series Dexter is going to be righting the wrongs of its controversial ending. The police procedural will return for a limited run with Michael C. Hall again assuming the mantle of the charismatic, ethical serial killer. But how can fans catch up on previous seasons of the drama?
Where can I watch Dexter online?
In the UK, streaming platform Now TV is the home of Dexter with all eight seasons available to watch.
You will need a Now TV subscription and the Entertainment Pass to access Dexter, which costs £9.99 per month.
For first-time subscribers, there’s a free trial lasting for seven days after which you will be charged.
Now TV allows users to watch content on several devices, such as mobile phones and laptops.
We will use your email address only for sending you newsletters. Please see our Privacy Notice for details of your data protection rights.
You can also download episodes and watch offline without a live web connection.
Along with Dexter, Now TV has access to plenty of classic boxsets including Game of Thrones and The Wire.
There are also TV channels such as Fox UK and Sky Atlantic which you can also watch either live or on catch up.
If you don’t have Now TV, another option is Amazon Instant Video with all seasons available on the platform.
However, Dexter doesn’t come under the Prime subscription package and so you will have to pay to watch individual episodes or seasons.
Dexter is sadly not available on Netflix UK or US at the moment.
American fans can watch Dexter on streaming platform Hulu or streaming platform Showtime Anytime, which require subscriptions.
You can also watch Dexter via the Showtime site or the app, simply provide your cable provider details to access the programme.

Dexter season 9 release date: Will there be another series? [ANALYSIS]
The new series of Dexter is anticipated to start shooting soon in Massachusetts with the programme hopefully out in the autumn of this year although Showtime has yet to confirm a date.
Details have started emerging about the new series with the forthcoming series set a decade after the events of the finale.
Also, the show will be taking things away from the sun-soaked environs of Miami to something darker.
Clancy Brown is confirmed to be portraying villain Kurt Caldwell, who is billed as the unofficial mayor of the small-town Iron Lake.
Caldwell and Dexter will cross paths with devastating consequences in a battle of wills.
Other cast members confirmed for the new series include Alano Miller as Logan, Julia Jones as Angela Bishop, Johnny Sequoyah as Audrey Bishop and Jack Alcott as Randall.
Addressing the lacklustre conclusion to Dexter, Hall previously told The Daily Beast: “Let’s be real: people found the way that the show left things pretty unsatisfying, and there’s always been a hope that a story would emerge that would be worth telling.”
He continued: “I include myself in the group of people that wondered, ‘What the hell happened to that guy?’
“So I’m excited to step back into it. I’ve never had that experience of playing a character this many years on.”
