IT’S been nearly five months since Danny Dyer announced he was quitting EastEnders to find his “defining acting role”.
Since then he had only been linked to travel and game shows . . . until now.
I can reveal he’ll star in a gritty new four-part drama for Channel 5, which will be filmed in Australia.
It’s expected to air in 2023 and follows the channel’s success with Lie With Me for Danny’s Walford co-star Charlie Brooks.
A 5 source said: “They’ve been in talks for months trying to make it work around his already busy schedule.
“Danny spoke to Charlie who gushed about what a great time she had filming Lie With Me.
