Coronation Street youngster Max Turner (Paddy Beaver) finds out his fate next week.

David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) confides in mum Gail Platt (Helen Worth) about his concerns over Max's sentencing in upcoming scenes.

Gary Windass (Mikey North) has a go at Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) for defending David as she insists it's not his fault.

Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley Kinh) admits that trade has been very slow and she’s had to turn the heating down in an effort to save money.

When Yasmeen and Zeedan Nazir (Qasim Akhtar )suggest to Alya that she needs to tackle her victim statement, she snaps at them to leave her alone.

David attends a meeting with Max and Kim, his barrister, and she tells them that Alya has failed to submit a personal victim statement and that could help Max’s case.

David, Spider Nugent (Martin Hancock), Gary and Daryan Zahawi (Twana Omer) watch as Max is led into court.

At the court, the Judge hands Max a six month sentence.

Outside the courtroom, David hugs Max and assures him he’ll visit as often as he can, but Max asserts that he doesn’t want any visits.

In the secure training centre, a group of lads make it clear to Max they intend to make his life hell.

Weatherfield residents were rocked earlier this month when Griff Reynolds (Michael Condron) and his extremist gang made a thwarted attempt to set off a bomb at the community's Peace Market.

Max had spent weeks aligning himself with the group but raised the alarm at the last minute when he realised what they had planned.

Speaking about the storyline, producer Iain MacLeod previous told press: "It will reach its climax in the first couple of months of the year.

"Max has well and truly been red pilled and even more estranged from his family than he has been.

"This leads him into extremely dangerous territory."

"There is hope for Max. He will over the course of 2023 realise the error of his ways."
