CORONATION Street's Emma Brooker could be in danger after secretly contacting fiance Curtis' family ahead of their wedding.
The ITV soap character – played by Alexandra Mardell – is due to be dealt a shock when the truth behind her soon-to-be husband's past is revealed.
Emma and Curtis Delamere – played by Sam Retford – have been busy planning their wedding after he got down on one knee in recent episodes.
But Curtis has insisted that he wants to keep the nuptials small, and made it clear to Emma he doesn't get on with his family and so not to contact them.
Discussing their potential wedding venues with Debbie, Curtis reveals that his only friends live abroad and that he is no longer close with his relatives.
Emma is undeterred and tries to surprise her husband-to-be by secretly inviting his family to the big day, thinking it would make him happy.
She makes the decision after terminally ill Curtis admits they may have to cut down on the size of the wedding due to the costs of his hospital treatment.
When Curtis finds out that the medical student has been chatting to his family – he is devastated at the news, and leaves to go and get an update on his health.
While he is given good news about his condition, Curtis is dealt a huge shock when his 'dead' dad arrives on the scene.
Steve McDonald's daughter is left completely gobsmacked when the man called Neville, introducing himself as Curtis' old man, arrives in Weatherfield.
Curtis brushes off the misunderstanding and falsely claims that Neville, played by Mark Cameron, is his step-dad.
Later, when Emma suggests she asks Curtis' mum to come to the wedding, he snaps at her and explains he is fully against the idea.

Meanwhile ITV viewers have become wary of Curtis and his terminal diagnosis after spotting a string of "highly suspicious" clues.
Viewers were baffled by Curtis' recent behaviour after he began acting very cagey about his heart condition.
The boyfriend of Emma Brooker has left fans sceptical as he often tries not to disclose too much information about his illness.
Recently, viewers were quick to notice that Curtis didn't speak to a health care professional while at the hospital after collapsing.
One suspicious fan wrote: "I wonder if Curtis is faking his health condition?"
