Coronation Street fans have complained about the ITV soap’s two harrowing episodes which aired on Monday night, which included flashbacks to the fatal attack on Seb Franklin (played by Harry Visinoni) and Nina Lucus (Mollie Gallagher). Viewers found themselves torn over who was responsible for the crime as both had conflicting accounts of the attack.
Nina remembered who killed her boyfriend Seb on the ITV soap which was told through a selection of flashbacks.
Viewers found themselves divided over whether Corey Brent (Maximus Evans) or Kelly Neelan (Millie Gibson) was responsible for the crime.
However, during the episode, Nina recalled it was Corey who killed Seb – as Kelly had actually tried to pull him away.
The shocking twist was slammed by some fans of the soap as they thought Kelly was just as at fault in the killing as Corey.
Nina had been hit by Kelly on the night of Seb’s death, and some fans were disappointed she was redeemed later on.
One fan tweeted: “Kelly is just as guilty as all the others, she may not have kicked anyone but she was there and didn’t get help.”
Another said he felt like it was Kelly who killed Seb, not Corey.
A third disgruntled viewer said: “Just because Kelly didn’t kick doesn’t mean she’s innocent she helped initiate the attack.”
Another said: “Kelly may be innocent and tried to stop it but she was still there and it makes her an accomplice. Bravo to all actors on this storyline though.”

During the episode, Kelly and Corey prepare for the trial of their lives.
When Seb’s final voicemail is played Kelly lowered her head in shame, but Nina told the court how she remembered seeing Corey kicking Seb repeatedly and Kelly begging him to stop.
Despite criticism about the plot twist, many fans who tuned in have praised the cast and crew for their “brilliant work” on the episode.
One viewer tweeted: “Corey being Seb’s killer continues to prove that predictable outcomes are actually usually the best outcomes and can still remain shocking #CoronationStreet.”
Another user said: “Probably one of the best things @itvcorrie has ever done.
“Brilliantly shot without taking anything away from the original scenes. That tracking shot is incredible!
“Well done to all involved.”
