Ryan Tubridy announced as Virgin Radio’s new mid-morning host
Ryan Tubridy has been announced as the new mid-morning host on Virgin Radio UK and will start his broadcasting gig in January 2024.
The Irish presenter was unveiled as the latest signing during the Chris Evans Breakfast Show this morning.
The former Late Late Show host will take the helm during mid-mornings from Mondays to Fridays.
The news comes just months after Ryan left RTE on Irish TV.
Speaking about the news, Ryan said: “I couldn’t be more excited to start this new chapter with Virgin Radio.

“New city, new station, new beginnings. I love radio and what a joy to be following the legendary Chris Evans every morning.
“It’s been a pleasure getting to know my new friends at Virgin Radio, all of whom have been warm, engaging, and very entertaining.
“And big thanks to the London Irish who have made me feel so welcome in recent weeks. On a personal note, this is a big day for my wonderful family whom I hope to make proud, and also the people who advised me so well recently and got me to this moment.
“To the listeners, wherever they might be, I urge you to join us on this adventure every weekday morning, there is much fun to be had.”

The 50-year-old stepped down from his position at RTE earlier this year after revelations emerged that the broadcaster had boosted his salary between 2017 and 2022.
Ryan was soon taken off air after the financial affairs were discovered and the broadcaster was plunged into crisis.
He presented his final weekday show on RTÉ Radio 1 in May after 14 years.
