Chelsea responsible for Lucas' attack as she betrays him in EastEnders twist
8th January 2021

Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) is hiding a pretty big secret in EastEnders, as tonight’s episode (January 8) confirmed that she was inadvertently responsible for the attack carried out on Lucas Johnson (Don Gilet).

Lucas was beaten in violent scenes last week, leaving viewers convinced that Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) was responsible for the attack.

Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) had previously requested that the Mitchell hard-man teach Lucas a lesson and warn him off contacting Denise (Diane Parish).

However, it appears as if Phil wasn’t responsible for the attack on the serial killer after all, as tonight’s instalment confirmed Chelsea had a part to play in the assault.

She received a phone call, and while the viewers couldn’t hear who was on the other end of the call, Chelsea’s dialogue was enough to confirm such a thing.

‘I got the message loud and clear,’ Chelsea told the caller, evidently frustrated. ‘You do realise you nearly killed him?’

She watched Lucas through the window, as she listened to the caller suggest they’re not all that fussed that he nearly died.

‘Well you should care!’ she yelled down the phone. ‘The man they assaulted is the man I lined up for the job!’

Chelsea is clearly using Lucas for something — in the hopes that he’ll carry out a job for her. Perhaps this is why she was seemingly so forgiving towards her murderous dad — is she playing him?

‘You sent me a message, now here’s one for you: you want this job done, and done well? You need to wind your neck in, and trust me.’
