Call The Midwife could be in danger after the studio that the show is filmed in has been bought by Netflix.

The streaming giant – which makes shows such as Sex Education and The Crown – has said that only its own shows will be made in the studio. Call The Midwife – which is a BBC drama – may therefore be faced with the decision to move.

While another two series, 12 and 13, of the show have been confirmed, the production company behind it – Neal Street Productions – may be forced to rebuild the extensive sets for the show in another location, which could prove costly.

Speaking to The Sun, a source said: “Fans are likely to be up in arms about this as Call the Midwife has built up a huge following over nearly a decade.

"The BBC may end up facing no other choice but to throw in the towel because they could not justify the cost of rebuilding the huge set for a show which last year only ran to seven episodes.”

According to the paper, bosses for the show are currently in talks with Netflix in order to find a solution.

Meanwhile, Call The Midwife star Helen George has been spotted out and about in the last few weeks shortly after announcing her pregnancy.

The star looked absolutely sensational for a glamorous night out in London with her husband Jack Ashton on earlier this month.

Stepping out for the ATG Summer Party hosted by Ambassador Theatre Group at Kensington Palace, the Call The Midwife star radiated in a black evening gown which highlighted her blossoming bump.

The blonde beauty completed her look with a chic black Yves Saint Laurent clutch bag and matching black heels along with statement drop earrings.

Ther 37 year old's husband Jack, with whom she already shares three year old toddler Wren Ivy, also showed off his sartorial flair in a navy shirt and grey trousers.

The lovebirds looked happy and relaxed as they enjoyed their night out on the town.

Back in June, Helen announced she was expecting her second baby in an adorable announcement on Instagram.

Sharing a sweet snap in the glistening sunlight out in the countryside, the Trixie Franklin star wore a gorgeous floral maxi dress as she cradled her growing bump.

Rocking her signature blonde cropped 'do, Helen captioned the picture: "Baking number 2. Due in December."
