BINDI Irwin has shared her pride at continuing late dad Steve's legacy in an emotional Instagram post.

The 21-year-old beauty took to her social media page before honouring the famous Crocodile Hunter at a gala dinner.

Posting a snap ahead of the event, Bindi showed off her chic outfit on a balcony in front of the stunning Brisbane skyline.

She dressed up casual jeans and black boots with a trendy blazer, classy pearl necklace, and stunning make-up.

Bindi had her long, brown hair over one shoulder, styled into loose waves.

Opening up in the photo's caption, Bindi wrote: "Dressing up a little for our Brisbane #SteveIrwinGalaDinner but always keeping a touch of khaki.

"Tonight we raised funds and awareness for Wildlife Warriors.

"It’s an honour to be continuing Dad’s legacy with the global conservation work he was so passionate about."

Bindi was just eight years old when her famous father tragically lost his life after suffering a stingray injury to his heart.

The wildlife expert's shock death rocked fans across the globe in 2006, with Steve also dad to 15-year-old Robert.

It has been an emotional year for Bindi, who got engaged to long-term boyfriend Chandler Powell in the summer.

In her father's absence, Bindi's little brother is set to walk her down the aisle.

She spoke out directly to her dad in a social media post announcing the news, writing alongside a throwback snap: "Dad, you would be so incredibly proud of Robert.

"‘He has been such an amazing support during this beautiful new life chapter.

"I know you’d be beaming with pride when the time comes that he walks me down the aisle.

"I wish you could be here for these moments, but I know that your spirit lives on in us."
