Below Deck star says season 10 ‘breaks records’ with ‘never seen before’ moments
20th November 2022

Below Deck's new Chief Stew Fraser Olender has said the upcoming 10th season of the show "breaks so many records" as he promises the "greatest" ever run of episodes.

The luxurious reality show returns for its 10th season next week (November 22 on Hayu), with Fraser returning alongside Chef Rachel and Captain Lee, as well as a brand new crew.

However the trailer hints that Captain Lee may be forced to take some time off due to health issues, and there were rumours at the time of filming that Below Deck Mediterranean's Captain Sandy took over.

While Fraser refused to give too much away, branding the Captain Sandy rumour "ridiculous" – albeit with a smile – he did promise a huge season.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, Fraser said: "There is a lot that happens this season, but I think it's going to be the greatest – without being biased, because I am a fan myself of the show and franchise.

"It incorporates so much that's never been seen on Below Deck history, and we do break so many records in Below Deck history.

"It's mental. I feel like every episode is going to knock people for six."

Fraser joined the Below Deck franchise in season nine but has now been promoted to Chief Stew, a position he admitted he was "excited albeit nervous" for.

He told us: "I didn't feel like I had enough experience to jump into a chief role and I think I said a bit too much last season, I worried I was going to get karma.

"There was a lot thrown my way, that's for sure. But I feel very excited to just be the first male Chief [Stew]."

Luckily for him, Fraser had a few familiar faces on-board, with everyone's favourite Captain Lee at the helm and fire-cracker Chef Rachel both returning.

Fraser said: "I was really excited to have Captain and Rachel, because I needed a slice of home, something that was a bit more comfortable, going onto a new vessel, a new country and a complete new crew, so that I'm hugely grateful for.

"I'm friends with a lot of the other past crew and of course it would've been lovely to have some of them back, but sadly I don't have the choice over that.

"But I was very pleased with what I did have."
