Strictly: Angela Rippon talks about her exit from show
BBC has revealed the first three celebrities taking part in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special.
In a bid to be crowned the 2023 Christmas Champion, viewers will see an all-star line-up as six couples perform festive-fueled routines.
As the ballroom transforms into a magical winter wonderland, the stars will have to do their best to dazzle judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Judge Shirley Ballas.
Last year, fans watched Waterloo Road’s Alexandra Mardell and her professional partner Kai Widdrington raise the Strictly Silver Star trophy.

BBC Breakfast presenter Sally Nugent will be taking to the dancefloor with professional dancer Graziano Di Prima.
Ahead of her Strictly debut, the 52-year-old shared her excitement at being part of this year’s festive line-up.
She said: “I am thrilled and slightly terrified to be taking part in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special.
“I’m hoping the judges will be kind – and filled with Christmas spirit. And I hope everyone watching at home will enjoy a little bit of Strictly magic on Christmas night.”

Joining Sally on the dancefloor is EastEnders actor Jamie Borthwick, who is best known as playing Jay Brown in the BBC soap.
Jamie will be dancing alongside Nancy Xu as they do their best to take home the trophy.
Revealing he’s excited to be joining the cast of this year’s Christmas show, the actor is keen to get his dancing shoes on.
He said: “From Walford to a Waltz, I can’t wait to learn a new skill and put my dancing to the test.
“I’m hoping to spread Christmas cheer and have a good laugh with my professional dancer…get me on that dancefloor!”
Broadcaster Dan Snow, who will be dancing with Nadiya Bychkova in the special as he confessed he’s a tad nervous to be taking part in the show.
He said: “I am absolutely terrified about hitting the dance floor. But I love getting out of my comfort zone and I’ve always wanted to learn how to dance properly. So I thought it was now or never!”
The remaining celebrity contestants will be announced on It Takes Two on Thursday 23rd November on BBC Two.
