CARLOS SAINZ has enjoyed his most successful season yet as an F1 driver in 2022.

The Spaniard won his first ever race at the British Grand Prix in July and has been battling for podiums since the season started in March.

The Spaniard will be involved in the Bahrain Grand Prix on Sunday.

Sainz is a fan favourite and is one of the most promising drivers in the sport.

He's supported by his cousin and manager Carlos Onoro Sainz in the paddock and good pals with Ferrari team-mate Charles Leclerc.

But Sainz also has girlfriend Isabel Hernaez cheering him on during big races.

Who is Carlos Sainz's girlfriend Isabel Hernaez?

Isabel Hernaez, 28, is Sainz's long-time girlfriend, having been with the F1 star since at least 2017.

Both Sainz and Hernaez are very private about their relationship, having not posted pictures of each other on their respective Instagram accounts.

Hernaez has a degree in bilingual journalism and currently works as a press officer for Scalpers Company and Victoria Collection.

Hernaez has over 180,000 followers on Instagram, amassing millions of likes on the social media platform.

Sainz and Hernaez are not married and they do not have any children together.

Earlier this summer, the pair enjoyed a relaxing holiday together on the island of Mallorca.

Sainz whipped his top off as he basked in the sunshine in a pair of cream shorts.

Meanwhile, Isabel soaked up some rays on a boat wearing just a dusky pink bikini.
