SPAIN star David Garcia has been slammed after he blamed the length of the grass for Scotland's win.
Manchester United star Scott McTominay scored twice in the 2-0 victory to send his side top of Euro 2024 qualifying group A.
After the match Manchester City midfielder Rodri moaned about Scotland's timewasting and their provocative tactics.
But he accepted there could be no excuses for the defeat, dismissing Garcia's claim the grass was too long.
Spain centre-back David Garcia told Teledeporte: "We already saw that the grass was too long and that it was difficult.
"We can’t make excuses for that, we have to look at ourselves and correct what we did wrong today."
