21st September 2020

PIERS MORGAN has blocked former boxing world champion Carl Froch on Twitter after a furous row over coronavirus.

It led to Froch calling the Good Morning Britain host 'Piers Moron' after being prevented from seeing his posts.

It all started when Morgan used the social media site to blast people not following the Covid-19 government advice.

Morgan shared an image slamming coronavirus deniers, that read: "Shut the f* up, mask the f* up and ‘grow the f*** up".

That didn't go down well with Froch, who quoted it, adding: "How about telling people to… Exercise more, eat healthily, boost your immune system.

“All you do is talk absolute BS!! Just thought I’d get that off my chest."

But Froch was then blocked by Morgan, with the Sky Sports boxing pundit writing: "This sums up Piers Moron. When he can’t win the debate he doesn’t let you speak!”

But Morgan decided to reply once more, posting: "Hi Carl, I prefer not to ‘debate’ with people who call me ‘Moron’… just an FYI."

He then added: "REMINDER: Carl thinks Planet Earth is ‘100% flat'."

The 43-year-old previously told the Pound for Pound with Jake Wood and Spencer Oliver podcast: "The Earth is flat, 100 per cent.

"There's no proof of the Earth's curvature and this fake space agency Nasa use CGI images and every one is different.

"I'm looking at them thinking, 'Hang on a minute, they're like cartoons'."

Morgan, 55, has used his role on hit ITV show GMB to slam the government's handling of the coronavirus pandemic.

Ministers are now onto day 146 of refusing to appear on the morning programme.
