Manchester City community mourns the death of 17-year-old youth player Jeremy Wisten

The English soccer community is mourning the death of 17-year-old Jeremy Wisten, a former Manchester City youth academy player.

Born in Malawi, Wisten joined the Manchester City youth ranks in 2016. City stars such as Raheem Sterling and Aymeric Laporte have led the outpouring of condolences for the late teenager.

The Manchester City family are saddened to learn of the passing of former Academy player Jeremy Wisten. We send our deepest condolences to his friends and family. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

A GoFundMe page has been set up for Wisten, where nearly £11,000 has been raised of the £10,000 goal.
