Saturday's dismal display at Brentford further compounded the early season misery that surrounds the club.
With hopes high in the early stages of pre-season, United have crumbled since a win over a makeshift Crystal Palace side in the warm-up games.
The opening day defeat to Brighton at Old Trafford immediately put Ten Hag under pressure.
And he wasn't helped last weekend when his side stuttered their way through the first-half at the Brentford Community Stadium to go in 4-0 down at the break.
It didn't get any worse for them in the second-half but they struggled to make any inroads in a goalless second half.
Paddy Power are famed for their early payouts and have gone big with their latest episode.
At HALF-TIME during Saturday night's game, they paid out on Erik ten Hag being the first managerial casualty of the season.
Punters took to social media to share their delight, with some getting on the market early with Ten Hag at 33/1.
Others reacted to the early season slump and got on at single figure odds, though were still paid out.

Now, Pochettino has been backed as the favourite to take over from Ten Hag, with Paddy Power going 5/4 he does so.
Poch has been out of work since losing his job at PSG over the summer after failing to win the Champions League.
He has been linked with the United post on several occasions.
Zinedine Zidane and Graham Potter are next at 5/1 and 9/1, respectively – ahead of Gareth Southgate at 12/1.
Brendan Rodgers is 16/1, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer making a sensational return at 20/1, the same price as Diego Simeone.
