I've won it all at Bayern Munich but I'm a lonely loser with just five friends – it's worrying | The Sun

ALPHONSO DAVIES seems to have the perfect life aged 22.

He has won everything he can do at Bayern Munich including the Champions League and Club World Cup.

He has 5.2million followers on Instagram.

He is one of the best young talents in global football and will be a poster boy for the 2026 World Cup in his home nation Canada.

And he has a doting girlfriend and a loving family supporting him.

It is certainly a far cry from being born in a refugee camp in Ghana and eventually resettling in Canada aged five.

But the left-back openly and bravely admitted he struggles with loneliness – and reckons he only has FIVE friends.

Davies does not have much going on outside of his football commitments and can find life as a professional hard when he is living alone 4,700 miles from his family home in Edmonton, Alberta.

The defender said on his Twitch channel: "Life as a professional footballer is very cool, no doubt.

"You can chill and enjoy life, but, after training, there's nothing to do.

Davies burst on to the scene in the MLS with Vancouver Whitecaps before his record-breaking transfer to Bayern Munich in 2018.

Within a year he had established himself as a first-team regular and has progressed to be among the world's top left-backs – known for his blistering pace, dribbling and crossing ability.

He scored Canada's first World Cup goal ever at Qatar 2022, putting his penalty miss disappointment behind him from the first match to head in against Croatia.

Away from football, he had a very public five-year relationship with fellow Canadian footballer Jordyn Huitema.

Like Davies, the ex-PSG forward had moved from Canada to Europe for her football and they had a YouTube channel together.
