Floyd Mayweather vs Tenshin Nasukawa: When is the fight, full undercard, rules and is it on TV?
28th December 2018

There had been doubts as to whether the fight would take place but the Money Man confirmed in November that he will appear at the top of the RIZIN 14 card in Saitama.

And on Thursday he posted an Instagram promo video for the big event.

When is Mayweather vs Nasukawa?

Floyd Mayweather will fight Tenshin Nasukawa on New Year's Eve.

A lengthy undercard featuring MMA, kickboxing and shootboxing begins at 3pm local time – 6am UK time.

There will also be another event – Rizin: Heisei's Last Yarennoka – held before the Mayweather undercard begins.

The exact ring walk time for the Mayweather bout is yet to be confirmed, but expected around 10am UK time.

Is Mayweather vs Nasukawa on TV and can I live stream it?

As things stand, Mayweather vs Nasukawa is set for a TV blackout in the UK.

In North America, the Rizin 14 event will be live on Fite TV, but this will not include Mayweather vs Nasukawa.

A PPV broadcaster has yet to agree rights for the fight with RIZIN as of December 23.

What are the rules for Mayweather vs Nasukawa?

Mayweather vs Nasukawa will be a boxing match and take place over three rounds.

No kicking or MMA moves will be allowed from the Japanese fighter.

As it is an exhibition match, both fighters will remain unbeaten… even if they lose.

Dan Rafael, of ESPN, provided further details.

He said: "The fight will take place at a contract weight of 147 pounds, the welterweight division limit, with boxing-standard three-minute rounds.

"The fighters will wear 8-ounce Rizin-brand boxing gloves. Because the fight is an exhibition, whatever happens will not count on either fighter's official record.

"No judges will be employed, so if it goes the distance no scores will be rendered."

When is the weigh-in?

There will be no weigh in for Mayweather vs Nasukawa as it is not an officially sanctioned fight.
