Marcus Harris and Peter Handscomb have finalised their case for selection in a fierce training session at Adelaide Oval, where Aaron Finch copped a painful blow on his right hand.
Australia's Test squad was in the nets for more than three hours on Tuesday, with the pacemen holding little back as they terrorised teammates for the second day in a row.

Finch was assessed by Australia's team doctor after being struck by a Mitchell Starc bouncer.
The hand was strapped and Finch was cleared to continue batting.
"A bit of mayo on that from Finchy," Mitchell Marsh said.
"If you get out of our net session and you're not injured, you've had a good net. I'm still in one piece.
"We've all trained exceptionally well. We've prepared as best we possibly can."
Finch is set to open the batting in Australia's four-Test series opener against India, which starts on Thursday.
Finch's opening partner will either be Harris or Usman Khawaja, with selectors yet to officially make a decision.
"I haven't spoken to 'Painey'. I'm sure we'll find out soon," Marsh said.
