Expanding into content space, DraftKings acquires sports betting broadcast company VSiN
30th March 2021

DraftKings continued its venture in the sports gambling content space by announcing Tuesday it acquired the sports betting broadcast company Vegas Sports Information Network (VSiN).

VSiN, founded in 2017 by the Musburger family (following former ESPN announcer Brent Musburger's departure from the company), has operated in Las Vegas and produces roughly 18 hours of linear sports betting content daily. The plan, per DraftKings, is for CEO Brian Musburger to remain in charge and for VSiN to retain editorial independence.

“VSiN creates authentic and credible content that resonates with sports bettors at every level, whether they’re experienced or new to sports betting,” DraftKings’ co-founder, CEO and Chairman of the Board Jason Robins said in the announcement release. “In addition to its brand equity among sports bettors and engaging talent roster, VSiN also has an established infrastructure that DraftKings can immediately help expand, in the hopes of adding value to consumers who are looking to become more knowledgeable about sports betting.”
