Former WWE star Big Cass, real name William Morrissey, was rushed to the hospital Saturday after collapsing and suffering a seizure at a Philadelphia wrestling event, according to TMZ Sports.
Cass was scheduled to wrestle at Tommy Dreamer’s House of Hardcore, before which he sat down to meet fans. According to the report, Cass fell to the ground and began convulsing — which many fans in attendance believed to be part of the show.
Yet, medics were alerted and arrived on the scene, and Cass reportedly was awake when he was taken to the hospital. There has been no update about his condition.
“Please say a prayer for Big Cass, who suffered a seizure,” Dreamer later told the crowd. “It was not drug related. … He’s been going through a lot of stuff, hopefully this will clear up.”
Cass, a 31-year-old 7-footer, had been with WWE since 2011 before splitting from the organization in June.
