19th September 2023

FURIOUS Chelsea fans appeared to boo Ben Chilwell following the club's goalless draw at Bournemouth.

The Blues were held away from home to take their point tally to just five from as many matches this season.

Chilwell was captured waving and thanking the away support but it was met with boos and even one fan shouting "f*** off".

Although one matchgoer was quick to argue that the frustration was being aimed at the team's performance and not Chilwell individually.

He tweeted: "They weren’t booing Chilwell, they were booing the performance.

"It was frustrating to watch, it was disappointed to watch, and it’s annoying to watch players turning out that kind of performance trudging off not looking arsed. It’s happened to every club at some point."

"For me, nothing to say, the fans can do this. Twelve injured today, three of four youngs guys, two keepers on the bench, I am going to cry, I am going to complain, to who? I have to accept this.
