Arsenal’s home match with Nottingham Forest was pushed back to a 1pm start due to a delay at the turnstiles.
There were queues outside the Emirates ahead of the proposed 12.30pm start time, with e-ticketing causing problems for fans. Electronic numbers were causing the issue, with standard paper tickets operating fine in North London.
The 1pm kick-off time allowed more fans to get into the ground before action got underway. Despite fears that a half-hour delay may not be enough, the match kicked off at the new time, live on TNT Sports.
Mail Sport’s Kevin Quigley filmed the chaos outside the Emirates Stadium in the build-up to kick-off, with thousands of fans stuck in the immediate vicinity around the ground, as the turnstile issue caused a backlog of supporters.

Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest start with Matt Turner in goal, just days after his move from Arsenal to Cooper’s side. Taiwo Awoniyi, the club’s top goalscorer last season, starts on the bench.
Nottingham Forest’s poor away record last season saw them claim just one win away from the City Ground, but their home form was able to see them secure their place in the Premier League for another season.
Cooper’s side were expected to be longshots to gain a result at Arsenal, who finished second last season, and have strengthened across the summer.
