    Good morning, Gunners fans

Ben White has left England's World Cup camp for personal reasons and will NOT be returning.

The Arsenal ace missed training ahead of the Three Lions' 3-0 group win over Wales through illness, and was absent in Tuesday's matchday squad.

Arsenal defender William Saliba has pointed towards Didier Deschamps’ team selection and set-up as to why France lost 1-0 to Tunisia.

The reigning defending champions are through to the World Cup knockouts but the defeat was embarrassing nonetheless.

Saliba told beIN SPORTS: “It definitely wasn’t an easy game today.

“The team was changed, there were a lot of players who had never played together, so it was a bit difficult.

“It was a bit better in the second half at the start, but then we conceded that goal. We were pushing at the end to try and score but unfortunately it wasn’t enough.

“I wouldn’t say there was a sense of fear, but we were shaken up a bit at the start of the match. But there were players who weren’t in their usual position, so they weren’t used to it.”

Ex-Arsenal chief Sven Mislintat is in the running to become the new sporting director at Liverpool, according to reports.

With Julian Ward set to leave his role at the end of the season, the Reds are in the market for a replacement.

And Mislintat is now being considered, according to Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg.

Youri Tielemans’ Leicester City contract comes to an end next summer.

A host of top clubs are tracking the Belgium international, including Arsenal.

However, according to InterLive.it, the Gunners are eyeing Inter Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu as an alternative.

The Turkey ace’s deal at the San Siro expires in 2024.

"We saw that last night, some of the runs he made were fantastic. He won the free-kick for Marcus Rashford’s goal.

“I would keep those two in. But I love Raheem Sterling and I love Saka as well so I couldn’t really complain."

    SunSport exclusive by Jack Wilshere

“There were so many positives to England’s display last night it is hard to know where to start.

“We pushed and probed and never panicked in the first half, then hit them with the old one-two early in the second half – and there was no way Wales were ever going to come back.

“England had quality in every department and confidence must be flowing through the team.

"Gareth Southgate made changes and gave more players in his squad valuable game-time — and they are all staking a claim to start now."

    Good Morning, Arsenal fans

PSG'S Carlos Soler and AC Milan hero Ismael Bennacer are the latest two midfielders attracting interest from the Gunners. Playmaker Soler, 25, was a scoring substitute in Spain’s 7-0 win over Costa Rica but remained on the bench for Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Germany.

Reports in France suggest Arsenal are amongst his main admirers as he struggles for game time in Ligue 1. Soler’s style has been compared to Gunners’ legend Santi Cazorla and he was a fans’ favourite for Valencia before his summer switch to PSG.

Meanwhile, Milan's Algerian anchorman Bennacer is said to have attracted a “super offer” from a rival club, possibly Arsenal. And it’s claimed in Italy that AC would be keen on Ghanaian hero Thomas Partey in part exchange.

But with Partey a major reason for the Gunners topping the Prem, such a deal looks highly unlikely.

Meanwhile, eight senior Gunners returned to training this week – with 10 players missing of course due to World Cup duty.

Oleksandr Zinchenko, Gabriel Magalhaes, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Cedric Soares, Eddie Nketiah, Rob Holding, Reiss Nelson and Marquinhos were snapped, along with youngsters Matt Smith and Myles Lewis-Skelly.

None of Arsenal’s first-team keepers are available yet – so Under-21 stoppers Hubert Graczyk and James Hillson joined in the session.

And having played in international friendlies just before the World Cup, Kieran Tierney, Martin Odegaard, Karl Hein and Mohamed Elneny have not yet returned.

Finally, Gunners' winger Bukayo Saka remained on the bench in England's 3-0 win over Wales.

US matchwinner Pulisic ‘not keen on move’

Borussia Dortmund are also said to be keen on reuniting with the 24-year-old, with Liverpool mentioned too.

Plettenberg described the rumours as “not hot” and posted: “Been told that he wants to stay at #CFC in winter.”

    Arteta linked to Carlos

Arsenal are reportedly monitoring Spain midfielder Carlos Soler.

France Bleu Paris suggest the Gunners are among Soler’s fans as he struggles in his first season with PSG.

The playmaker, 25, was a scoring substitute in Spain’s 7-0 win over Costa Rica but then remained on the bench for Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Germany.

Soler’s style has been compared to Gunners’ legend Santi Cazorla.
