THE season is near the halfway point and clubs are eyeing the January transfer window.

More than three months after the window slammed shut for teams in England and around Europe, it's nearly time for the wheeling and dealing to start all over again.

Among the potential transfer moves in the winter window, Erling Haaland is being chased by a host of clubs including Manchester United.

  • EVERTON are preparing to make an ambitious move for free agent Zlatan Ibrahimovic, according to reports.

    The Toffees want to give him a final swansong in the Premier League and are ready to make him their highest-paid player ever in a bid to lure him to Goodison Park.

    Ibra, 38, remains a free agent after leaving LA Galaxy at the end of the MLS season.

    A host of clubs across Europe including AC Milan and Napoli are believed to have offered him deals as competition for his signature hots up.

    And while the legendary Swede bides his time, speculation coming out of Italy claim he's been offered a switch to Goodison Park.

    Publication Areanapoli write that the managerless club are prepared to give him £3.4million per season to tempt him to reject other clubs.

    Winger Bernard is currently their best-paid star currently taking home around £3.1m every year.

    Ibrahimovic's agent is Mino Raiola, also the agent of Moise Kean who the club signed from Juventus in the summer.

  • CHELSEA are ready to make a big-money move for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha, according to reports.

    Boss Frank Lampard is stepping up his chase to sign an attacking player in January after their transfer ban was overturned.

    The Blues haven't been able to replace Eden Hazard who left for Real Madrid in the summer.

    But after being given the green light to spend around £150million in January, Lampard has drawn up a shortlist of targets.

    According to the Guardian, Zaha is right at the top after being told he can leave the club if they receive an offer in the region of £80m.

  • MANCHESTER UNITED are stepping up their interest in Bayer Leverkusen wonderkid Kai Havertz but will face tough competition to sign the German midfielder.

    Havertz has continuously impressed for the German side and has attracted interest from some of Europe's top clubs.

    The 20-year-old has been rumoured to be leaving the German side for months and according to SportBild, United are “very interested” in the youngster with a fee likely to be in the region of £80million.

  • CHELSEA reportedly sent scouts to watch strikers Moussa Dembele and Timo Werner in Champions League action on Tuesday night.

    The forward line at Stamford Bridge is almost certain to be seen as priority to improve, with Tammy Abraham hardly challenged for his place.

    Chelsea are gearing up for a busy January after their transfer ban was lifted following a successful appeal.

    MailOnline reports that the club sent scouts to watch Werner and Dembele as they played for RB Leipzig and Lyon respectively.

  • LEICESTER star Dennis Praet has played down speculation that he will make an immediate return to Italy.

    The midfielder has been linked with Fiorentina just months after penning a five-year deal at the King Power.

    But he told Gazzetta dello Sport: “The rumours about my return in January? False.

    “I also read, for example, about Fiorentina. But I'm happy here.

    “I am not yet a starter yet, but I aim to become one soon.”
