A killer wept in the dock today after a jury found her guilty of murdering a dad-of-one in the street.
Clara Butler and her dad Jamie became embroiled in an argument with Lance Martin near their homes.
A court heard, as Mr Butler and Mr Martin scrapped, Clara Butler jumped on the victim's back and stabbed him repeatedly.
One blow saw the blade go through his lung and heart. Two others punctured his lung and the fourth went into his spleen.
The Derby Telegraph says the father-of-one collapsed and was pronounced dead one hour later.
Butler admitted stabbing the man with the kitchen blade but denied murder, claiming she was acting in the defence of her dad.
However, the jury of six men and six women at Derby Crown Court found Butler guilty today. She'll be sentenced tomorrow.
Summing up the prosecution case on Monday, Mary Loram QC said: “There is only one person in this room who can tell you exactly how and why Lance Martin died and it is clearly Clara Butler.
“This was retribution. This was summary execution.”
But the court heard Butler, of Allenton, Derby, was desperate for Mr Martin to "get off" her dad.
Peter Joyce QC, Butler’s barrister, said Mr Martin “behaved outrageously” in the lead up to his death and that his client was only protecting her father who was under his attack.
