Woman shares easy hack to make a gonk from a sock – and they’re perfect for Christmas

Ever wanted to make a gonk out of a sock? Well, you will now once you see how easy it all is!

A group of women have discovered a very simple hack to create adorable gonks, and they make the best Christmas presents.

All you'll need to do is grab an odd sock, some scissors, rice, rubber bands and faux fur fabric.

Once you've gathered all of that up, here are the steps…

How to make a gonk from a sock

First off, fill up a cup with rice and then cover it with a sock, as if you were putting it on your foot!

Karin Goodell shared the tips on her YouTube channel in a video titled 'DIY Sock Gnome!'

You then flip the cup over and all of the rice goes into the sock, then use a band to tie it together – magic!

You're supposed to plump it up a bit to give it a realistic appearance and then cut off the remaining sock, but not too low as you don't want the rice to spill out.

You can then give your gnome a cute face and add a little nose which is really easy to do.

Karin advises putting your hand into a claw as if you're about to grab something and pull a small amount of rice in the middle of the gonk and it makes it looks like a nose.

You can also give your gnome a Christmas outfit by using a festive sock.

Simply pull it over your gnome and he'll be good to go!

Fancy adding a hat? You can do that too again by using a sock and pulling it over the head.

You'll then the the toe section of it to give a pom pom effect and you can even add some baubles too.
