Shocking: The fitness instructor revealed that she woke up one morning with one breast after her right implant ruptured overnight
Paula explained that when she was younger, her breasts were a good size, but she was left completely flat chested after breastfeeding her two children.
The young mom struggled with her body image and started working out with her sister. She ended up losing 30 pounds and decided to join a gym.
Although she was able to transform most of her body by lifting weights, there was no workout that would help her breasts.
Paula opted to have breast augmentation with the goal of having a C-cup like she had before she became a mom.
For her first surgery, she had saline implants placed under the muscle, and she was initially pleased with the results.

Mommy woes: she initially went under the knife and got implants because breastfeeding her two kids left her completely flat chested
‘They looked pretty good, and then when the swelling went down they didn’t look good at all,’ she told the camera.
‘The implants sat sort of in the middle of my chest. And then, the skin hung off the sides. The implants just sort of looked like they were plopped.’
Paula went on to have several surgeries to fix her breasts, but they were all failures.
‘Over a three-year time span, I had the original surgery and four revisions,’ she explained. ‘So, five surgeries, and none of them ended with a good result.’
A frustrated Paula decided she wasn’t going to have any more surgeries; she was just going to learn to live with her wonky chest.

Deflated: Things only got worse for the mom when she woke up one morning and discovered she didn’t have a right breast anymore after her implant ruptured
Struggle: Paula lived with her ruptured implant for about five years before consulting with the doctors
However, things only got worse for the mom when she woke up one morning and discovered she didn’t have a right breast anymore after her implant ruptured.
‘Emotionally, living with one breast, I sort of feel like a half a person. Part of me is missing,’ she said in her testimonial.
When meeting with the doctors, she admitted that her implant had been ruptured for about five years.
‘The implant’s been ruptured for so long, and you can assume that a lot of scar tissue has formed around the implant,’ Dr. Dubrow told the camera. ‘It’ll make it that much more difficult to get a good cosmetic result.’
The doctors couldn’t help but ask Paula why she waited so long to fix her ruptured breast implant, and she explained that it deflated around the same time her eldest child was headed to college.
Tricky: Dr. Dubrow was concerned about the amount of scar tissue that formed around the implant, explaining that it would make it more difficult ‘to get a good cosmetic result’
Yikes: When Dr. Dubrow he pulled out her ruptured implant during surgery, he was stunned to see it was completely deflated and folded into itself
Making it work: Although he was unable to place the implants underneath Paula’s muscle, he was still able to give her symmetrical breasts that he thought she would be pleased with
‘It was breast implants or send my kid to school and college won. I have priorities,’ she said, noting that she didn’t regret her decision.
Dr. Dubrow admitted it was a ‘tricky case’ that would depend on the structure of her muscle tissue.
‘If I told you that I think I could give you life some reasonable symmetry, a reasonable size, a reasonable relationship between your breast tissue and the breast mound, does that sound like something you’d be interested in?’ he asked her.
Paula agreed to go along with one more surgery with the hope of finally getting the full, symmetrical breasts she had wanted since she became a mom.
During the procedure, Dr. Dubrow noted that she had ‘zero breast fat’ on her right side. When he pulled out her ruptured implant, he was stunned to see it was completely deflated and folded into itself.
Thrilled: ‘Thanks to Dr. Dubrow, I have two perky, symmetrical breasts and I finally feel like the strong, empowered role model that I was meant to be,’ Paula said

He was just as baffled when he removed her left implant because it was so large.
‘It’s not even surprising now that Paula’s right implant ruptured,’ he said. ‘What’s surprising is that her left implant didn’t rupture because it was so ridiculously over-inflated. She just got lucky.’
Although Dr. Dubrow was unable to place the implants underneath Paula’s muscle, he was still able to give her symmetrical breasts that he thought she would be pleased with.
After the successful surgery, Paula proudly showed off her new bouncy breasts in a form-fitting workout tank while teaching a spinning class.
‘Before my surgery, I only had one boob. It made me feel like I wasn’t a whole person and like I was a fraud to my students because no one knew my secret,’ she explained.
‘But now, thanks to Dr. Dubrow, I have two perky, symmetrical breasts and I finally feel like the strong, empowered role model that I was meant to be.’
