Facebook users were left stunned when a recent Selfridges advert link took them to a page featuring adult sex toys.
The well-known department store was keen to promote their range of Christmas gifts for children, but ended up committing a pretty epic blunder.
The social media advertisement showed three children grinning by a decorated tree while playing with a robot and a VR headset.
It was captioned: "Players upping their game. Bringing the wonder of #SelfridgesChristmas to your homes.
"Discover our selection of extraordinary gifts and festive entertainment online. Follow the link to shop."
However, when shoppers clicked on it they ended up in the retailer’s "smart tech" category – which features at least five sex toys, such as vibrators, but none of the toys on the previous image.
Understandably, Facebook users were shocked and took to the comments section to flag the mishap.
One person simply wrote: "Wow," while another added: "I would have expected the advert to take me to children’s toys, not adult ones."

Speaking to Daily Star Online, a Selfridges spokesperson confirmed: "Thank you for drawing this issue to our attention.
"This advert was recently run in error with an incorrect link.
"As a result of this issue being flagged to us, the advert has been removed with immediate effect."
