McDonald’s customer in hysterics at staff’s unfortunate ‘drug’ message on burger
18th May 2022

For many, McDonald's is a staple of the convenient breakfast and lunchtime destination but one customer of the fast food chain was left confused by the meaning of a cryptic message on their burger.

Taking to Reddit, the customer shared a snap of their burger packet from the popular chain which simply had the words 'add ket' written onto the paper.

The Reddit user, who had purchased a Double Sausage and Egg McMuffin with the unfortunate message on there, wrote: "Looks like I'm gonna be blasting off with my Maccy's this morning."

Many found the funny side of the message which could quite easily suggest there had been a Class B drug, Ketamine, added to their breakfast burger.

One commented: "It won't be as much 'blasting off' as it'll be 'melting in to your chair and listening to techno'. Or so I've heard."

While another quipped: "Hope you’re not operating any heavy machinery today."

A third joked said: "Wow McDonald's really mixing up their menu nowadays!"

Others tried to guess what the 'add ket' comment could have meant other than the Class B drug and on the whole they all seemed to agree, as one person said: "I'm going to guess…ketchup?"

One person took issue with the thought of even adding ketchup to the burger, they said: "Ketchup on a sausage McMuffin? Sacrilege!"

The post shared earlier on today, May 17, has amassed more than 8K reactions and there's been a stream of hilarious and quick comments throughout the day.

Some people joked about what the names of the McDonald's burgers could be if they had drugs added to them.
