DEAR DEIDRE: SINCE I started having Botox and fillers, I keep going back to the clinic for top-ups and corrections.
It’s costing me a fortune and I’m still not happy with the way I look.
I’m 29 and started having injectable cosmetic treatments about four years ago.
I had horrible frown lines and a friend said Botox would make me look less angry.
I went to a local clinic, which is supposed to be reputable, and they suggested several treatments that would improve my features.
At first, I thought the results were brilliant. I looked younger, smoother and more rested. But lately, I never feel satisfied.

Once, I had to go back because the filler wasn’t quite even on both sides.
Another time, there were creases in my cheek.
The nurse said it was because I didn’t follow her instructions after my treatment, as I lay on my side in bed.
I now need filler under my eyes as I look so tired, and I’m wondering if I should go to a new clinic.
However, that will cost even more because I’ll have to pay a consultation fee too.
My boyfriend, 30, thinks I look lovely as I am and should stop having the treatments.
I know he’s just being kind. I need to keep doing them or I’ll start looking old and ugly.
DEIDRE SAYS: If you’re not happy with your clinic, you’re within your rights to go somewhere else. But it sounds like it’s not the treatments that are making you unhappy, but low self-esteem.
That’s why you’re never satisfied and the more you have, the more you feel you need.
This isn’t good for your bank balance or your mental health.
Put a stop to the treatments and work on your self-worth.
My support pack, Raising Your Self-esteem, will help you stop being so unkind and critical to yourself.
At 29, you won’t look old without Botox
