Social media users have branded her as ‘out of touch’ and ‘tone deaf’ for releasing the ‘ridiculously’ high priced line, especially amid the overturning of Roe v. Wade

The actress, 49, released the line, entitled G. Label, through her company Goop earlier this week, but many people were not happy with the immense cost and timing of the release

‘Named after some of the women who fill my soul the most, this G. Label jewelry offering serves to bring modern heirlooms to your collection,’ she wrote on Instagram on Sunday, while announcing the new collection, which contains seven pieces in total.

She received backlash from followers, who called her ‘shameful and insensitive’ for promoting the expensive line during a time when the ‘majority are struggling to afford the basics’

‘Layer them in with your favorite pieces, they are meant to be worn every day and will play beautifully with the things you own,’ she continued. ‘Inspired by pieces of years past, they bring a touch of cool and modernity.’

On her website, Gwyneth added, ‘Everything here is so beautiful, you’ll never want to take it off. And it’s all so wearable, you won’t have to.’

A set of three-hoop earrings cost $2,800, while a pair of crescent hoops are priced at $3,550.

‘On the set of the G. Label Jewelry photo shoot, Gwyneth immediately gravitated toward these chunky hoops,’ a description of the latter reads.

‘And it’s easy to see why: The cowbell shape is delightfully modern. The 14-karat gold gleams beautifully in the light. And the trickle of brilliant-cut diamonds down the front (notice how they gradually increase in size) only adds to the allure.’

Also for sale is a 14-karot gold buckle ring – which can be yours for $1,990 – and a single diamond bar earring for $525.

‘Encrusted with nine brilliant-cut diamonds (one prominent center stone flanked by four daintier ones on each side), this bar earring makes a versatile addition to any collection,’ Goop’s website says about the earring.

The most expensive item in the collection is a Cleo pavé ball necklace, which costs $7,900. The 14-karot gold piece of jewelry comes with 1.96 CTW white diamonds and is described as ‘simple’ but ‘straight-up exquisite.’

‘The longest point gracefully kisses the collarbones, making it an ideal length for layering,’ Goop writes in its description.

Gwyneth added of the necklace, ‘There’s a substance to the pavé diamond beads of the Cleo necklace – a substance that elevates it from fantastic layering piece to collection anchor.

Other items include a $4,800 floating-diamond bangle and a $1,600 lock charm – which actually opens and closes, making it perfect for fastening a chain, and was crafted from solid 14-karat gold.

‘Solid gold brings warmth and a gratifying heaviness to our second collection. As with all that we do, details are everything,’ Gwyneth gushed.

‘Thoughtfully placed diamonds along the interior of the Dixon bangle have a similarly impactful effect.’

Many people were not happy that the 49-year-old’s jewelry collection came out days after the Supreme Court overturned its ruling on Roe v. Wade, which Gwyneth has yet to speak about

Many people were not happy with the 49-year-old businesswomen’s new jewelry collection – especially became it came out just days after the Supreme Court overturned its previous ruling on Roe v. Wade, meaning states can now ban abortion, which Gwyneth has yet to speak about publicly.

Some people felt it was ‘tacky’ that Gwyneth has not addressed the issue, while others were furious over her selling products that ‘less than .1 per cent of the population can afford.’

‘Say you’re out of touch without saying it,’ wrote one person, while another said, ‘Maybe stop making money for a minute and give your fellow women a voice of support after their humanity has been stripped away. Just a thought.

‘Any woman or man silent about the overturn of Roe v. Wade is complicit.’

‘Ah yes, everyday jewelry for $7K,’ quipped someone else.

A fourth comment read, ‘How ridiculously expensive at a time when the majority are struggling to afford even the basics.’

‘Too bad you have to be loaded to be able to afford it,’ a different Instagram user commented.

‘How can you be a major women’s brand and not post about Roe v. Wade overturning?’ asked someone else.

‘So affordable… Not!’ said another person.

‘Seriously, trying to sell jewelry when a women’s right to make her own medical decision with a doctor has been federally removed and your brand has nothing to say?’ wrote one angered user. ‘Shameful and insensitive.’

‘I think it’s really tacky to avoid taking a stance,’ agreed someone else.

‘Less than .1 per cent of the population can afford what you sell,’ slammed an Instagram user. ‘You live in an elitist bubble.’

‘Selling trinkets to the women of America, now, really? Will it make them feel better? No agency over your body, but nice necklace?’ quipped another disgruntled person.

Another comment read,’ Really? Who can afford this? Why not create more products in touch with the state of our economy?

‘Was really hoping to click this link and find actual, everyday prices and products.’

Back in May, Gwyneth left many of her fans baffled after she dropped Goop diapers made with alpaca wool lining and amber gemstone fasteners, which cost $120 a pack

The diapers also ‘infused with a scent of jasmine and bergamot for a revitalized baby,’ according to a product description

This isn’t the first time Gwyneth has come under fire for her staggering prices. Back in May, she left many of her fans baffled after she dropped Goop diapers made with alpaca wool lining and amber gemstone fasteners, which cost $120 a pack.

‘Meet The Diapér. Our new disposable diaper lined with virgin alpaca wool and fastened with amber gemstones, known for their ancient emotional-cleansing properties. Infused with a scent of jasmine and bergamot for a revitalized baby,’ the product description reads.

‘Is it April Fools’ Day?’ one person asked after she promoted the diapers online, while another added: ‘Is this an SNL skit?’

‘Got to be a joke,’ someone else insisted. ‘Although you never know with Goop.’

‘You’re effing kidding me?! I have no words,’ another shared. ‘Why not donate to a worthwhile organization instead for underserved mothers and children. Done with Goop!’

Goop, which was launched by Gwyneth in 2008, is known for touting an unusual and expensive range of products, including a $15,000 gold-plated dildo and a $2,000 Ouija board.
