The Royal Family don’t tend to celebrate Halloween publicly, but Prince William and Kate, Princess of Wales’ three children are likely to be dressing up to celebrate the occasion in Berkshire today. Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis live just a short drive away from their grandmother Carole Middleton, who recently revealed her plans for the spooky season on Instagram.

For decades Carole has run her own party supply business, Party Pieces, and she is known to love a family celebration.

A hands-on granny, Carole’s Halloween plans this year involve her “loved ones”, likely her royal grandchildren are her daughter Pippa Middleton’s children Arthur, Grace and Rose.

Alongside a sweet picture of her on Instagram, Carole shared how much she loves fright night every year.

The grandmother-of-six said: “Halloween is an Autumn highlight for me.

“I can still remember the fun and frights from my own childhood; the chance to dress up, decorate pumpkins and go trick-or-treating!

“I’ve even grown my own pumpkins this year, so I’m looking forward to decorating those with my loved ones.”

We can assume the Wales family take part in Halloween as Kate was once seen with her children looking at fancy dress costumes in Sainsbury’s in 2019.

While visiting a branch in Norfolk, nearby to the family’s home of Anmer Hall, Kate was overheard asking some of the children in the store what they were going to dress up as.

A shopper who witnessed the royal visit told the Mirror: “Another shopper said that Kate was in the shop near the clothing and pointed where she was to me. I just couldn’t believe it.

“She was with Charlotte and George looking at Halloween outfits but her bodyguard was kind of watching people with phones and telling them no pictures.

“I managed to get the photo as she was at the self-service checkout.

“You just don’t expect it to happen, you think Kate would shop in Waitrose or Harrods.”

In recent decades royals have loved to dress up in fancy outfits when the opportunity arises, with Kate once pictured rocking a witch outfit for Halloween in her 20s.

Kate also looked chic in roller-disco gear for an event in London in 2008.

Princess Beatrice also notably dressed up as a very glamorous unicorn for the Annabel’s Halloween party in 2018.

This year, George, Charlotte and Louis will be enjoying their first Halloween in Windsor.

The Waleses moved to Adelaide Cottage in the summer, shortly before the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

The relatively modest royal property offers the family freedom to roam the great outdoors which Windsor Home Park boasts in abundance.

The home is also closer to George, Charlotte and Louis’ new school, Lambrook.

The royal children appeared with their parents for a photocall on their first day of school in early September.
