Shh! Anti-agers no one but you need know about: Expensive skincare won’t shift my face wrinkles
- An anonymous reader asked for advice on reducing the appearance of wrinkles
- Inge van Lotringen says Pollogen Divine Pro treatment can plump out wrinkles
- UK-based beauty expert explains that it uses intense RF heat to tighten skin
Q I have deep wrinkles in the lower half of my face. I’ve spent tons on skincare to no avail; what treatments can I try that are not a con?
A Skincare can prevent deep wrinkles and maintain skin health, but Dr Martin Nimmo says: ‘For deep lines in the lower face, you need muscle tightening, dermal thickening and longer-term collagen stimulation, alongside professional resurfacing of the skin’s top layer’.

Some machines can tackle all this at once: the Pollogen Divine Pro is one such treatment. One handpiece delivers deep muscle stimulation alongside pleasant, collagen-boosting radio-frequency (RF) warmth. The other punctures tiny RF heat-generated holes in the skin’s surface layer to plump out wrinkles and fade dark spots.
It then uses micro-needles to inject the deeper, collagen-producing layer with intense RF heat which tightens and lifts skin.
Topical anaesthetic is used so it’s not painful. Afterwards, expect swelling and redness for three days.
Known as the ‘Pyramid Facelift’, you’ll require four fortnightly sessions at £1,295 for the course at drmartinnimmo.com. And yes, it does work.
The Endymed Pro machine with ‘3Deep’ technology delivers a very similar skin-smoothing protocol at a similar cost. Search endymed.co.uk for clinics near you.
